Meet the HPG Team

Flippie has been a part of the fitness industry since 1997. His journey began as a 15-year-old boy training during the rugby offseason in a small gym in Ermelo. His first-ever strength and conditioning program was designed by Jannie Brooks, the owner of Brooks Gym in Pretoria.

After finishing school, Flippie moved to Pretoria to attend the University of Pretoria, where he earned a qualification in Basic Sport Science. He further enhanced his expertise by obtaining certifications as a Specialist Personal Trainer through IIFT and earning his CrossFit Level One certification.

Flippie began his professional career as a Personal Trainer in 2002, during his student years. Under the mentorship of Naat Loubser, Head Strength & Conditioning Specialist at the University of Pretoria, he honed his skills and developed a deep understanding of training methodologies.

Since then, Flippie has gained extensive experience working in various settings, including commercial gyms, sports performance centers, independent gyms, and outdoor fitness facilities. This diverse background has shaped him into the versatile, problem-solving trainer he is today.

Driven by his passion for helping people achieve their physical best, Flippie approaches each client as a unique project with the potential for transformation. His more than 20 years of experience is evident in his professional work ethic, strong client relationships, and consistent results in client progression.
